About Beauty In Strength

Beauty In Strength kicked off in 2017 driven out of wanting to change the ‘perception of fitness’ of just being something women wanting to do to look good. After spending over 12 years in the fitness industry as a coach, mentor and athlete I started to recognise what got us ‘ticking’ and I was so intrigued by ‘why’ people trained.

I rarely focused on ‘how’ my clients wanted to look, I focused on how they wanted to feel and why they were turning up to the gym each day. This insight gave me further knowledge so I could deliver the best results possible.

I came about the name ‘Beauty In Strength’ in a brainstorming session. I was explaining the message that I wanted to get across and how I could wrap up exactly what I did and the impact I wanted to make. The words that always kept coming up were, beauty & strength – which lead to Beauty In Strength.

This is what it means to me:

Beauty – DEEPER THAN SKIN

There is beauty in every area of our life, no matter where you’re at or what you’re doing. It’s ‘how’ you’re looking at that ‘thing’ is what’s resonating with you. Beauty is not just in the way we look physically it’s deeper than that. It’s what’s on the inside that matters most and thats where true beauty lies.

Strength – STRONGER THAN APPEARANCE

To be strong we don’t have to train everyday and lift heavy weights all the time – although this does help build physical strength which can also lead to building confidence and self-worth. There’s an inner strength that we all have that makes us do the things we need to do. Whether that be, leave a toxic relationship or work place, move out of home, say no to someone or travel on your own… That strength has to come from somewhere. I wanted to show women that no matter what they looked like or how strong they were they still had inner beauty and inner strength and to not get caught up in what the outside world thinks.

BiS has helped thousands of women around the world with their health and fitness goals by providing an online training program that fits in to their busy lifestyle.

Through my 1:1 and group coaching programs I help women build their confidence and resilience. I specifically work with women who’ve gone through some form of abuse and ready to turn their lives around. This isn’t always the case, I have clients who’ve experienced trauma, abuse, loss, adversity and everything in between.

Beauty In Strength’s mission is to raise awareness to stop domestic and family violence – this is a passion of mine.
